On November 20th, 2018, as part of Astronomy Outreach, PGSA organized an Observing Night at West Lafayette’s Cumberland Elementary school. While the weather forecast was cloudy all day, we remained patient, and the clouds cleared up just in time for our event. We set up the 16-inch telescope in the dome to observe nearby objects like the Ring Nebula and 2 smaller telescopes were set up outside to observe the moon. While the temperatures were cold, we kept warm with hot chocolate and snacks. There were many spectators from the public who showed up to gaze into the cosmos!
